Police investigating death of Weymouth man, 44, after street fall
A Weymouth man has died in hospital after suffering a serious head injury near a town pub yesterday evening.
Police said a 44-year-old man was seen to fall over in Turton Street near the Duke of Albany at around 8pm.

He suffered a life-threatening head injury and was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
Detective Inspector Stewart Dipple, of Weymouth CID, said: “This is a very sad incident and we are keen to establish the facts.

“I understand that there were several people in the vicinity who may have seen what happened and the events prior to the man sustaining his injuries.
“We would very much like to speak to anyone who has any information that may help us determine exactly what happened.”
The coroner and next of kin have been informed.
Police said a 25-year-old man from Weymouth has been arrested in connection with the incident and is helping the police with their enquiries.
