Police hunting wire thieves in Bridport
Expensive wire stock was stolen from a Bridport commercial yard - with police concerned it could be sold on.
The incident took place between 2.30am and 2.45am on Friday October 12 at a trading estate in the Dorset town. The value of the 24 rolls of stolen galvanised wire is estimated to be over £1,000.
Police Constable Sean Cannon of Bridport Police, said: "The theft of these expensive items has caused great financial loss to the proprietor.
"The yard gate was forced open and the offenders used a saloon vehicle to take the fencing away.

"I am particularly keen to trace the stolen property and speak to anyone who has been offered fencing in strange circumstances, possibly for an unusually low cash sum.
"I would ask that anyone who has recently contracted someone to install such fencing should ensure they establish exactly where it has come from and insist on seeing an invoice.
"If they are at all suspicious, I would ask they contact us on 101."
