Plants and much more at Cherry Tree Nursery’s sale
CHERRY Tree Nursery at Northbourne, which is holding a plant sale on Saturday 14th September, is looking for good quality items for a bric-a-brac stall.
They can be received between 8-3.30pm Monday to Friday, 9-3pm on Saturdays and 10-3pm on Sundays.
A fantastic selection of high quality hardy garden plants including bedding, perennials, herbs, fruit trees and bushes, alpines, shrubs, climbers, roses and trees will be available at the sale which runs from 8-3pm.
As well as plants, there will be a wide selection of stalls selling local, ethical and fairly traded produce including crafts from around the world, preserves and home-made cakes. Free tea, coffee and squash will be available, and thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Bournemouth North and Westbourne, barbecued food will be on sale.

There will be live music from Cherry Tree’s very own band ‘The Propagators’.
There will also be information available on the work of the charity, which provides sheltered work in a supportive environment for adults with severe and enduring mental illness. Many stalls will be raising money for Cherry Tree volunteers’ aims to provide life-saving supplies of piped safe drinkable water to poor communities in Bolivia. Seven Aymara communities in Bolivia now have their own potable water supply thanks to volunteers’ efforts and they hope at this event to complete the fundraising for the eighth community.
Phase 2 of Cherry Tree’s Sustainable Building Programme is progressing well, and visitors will be able to get an idea of the final result.
Cherry Tree is situated off the Northbourne Roundabout, near Kinson. Toilet facilities and car parking are available.
