REV Paul Bradbury is getting to know the people in Poole's regeneration area.

The Pioneer Minister for old Poole and Hamworthy, he works across three parishes.

"My role is to engage with people in new ways," he said.

"Society has changed and the parish model might not always be the best way to engage with societies," he added.

The Pioneer ministry consists of a small group of people - ten adults and nine children - who meet in the Custom House. In addition, on the fourth Sunday they become part of a congregation.

"We are looking at practical ways of meeting up with the community. It's early days, but we have lots of ideas."

Paul, 37, who is married to Emily and has two children Jacob, 10, and Bethany 7, grew up in Shaftesbury, and was formerly a curate.

If you would like to meet Paul, please contact St James Church office on 01202 677117 (Tuesday - Friday 9.15-1pm) .

Alternatively Paul can be contacted at bradsare@btinternet.com
