Photos and video of newborn baby lost and sentimental jewellery taken in car theft

After returning late from a wedding with lots to carry indoors including my 4 month old daughter, I hadnt realised that my camera equipment and preious jewellery that only comes out for special occasions, had been left in the boot of my car. You might think that if your car is locked and less than a metre from your front door, on your own private drive that your items will still be where you left them in the morning. Sadly not.

My treasuresd posession, my slr camera containing many photos of my new baby was taken along with a video camera containing sentimental footage of my babys first moments arriving home, and first bath. They were yet to be uploaded on to computer as we had just moved house. I was needless to say devasted. However it was to get worse, I was dressed and ready to go to another friends wedding and went to put on my jewellery, when I realsied this too had been taken. Its early 19th century bangle with diamonds and rubys and was given to me by my wonderful mum for my 21st birthday. It was the inspiration when dan designed my engagement ring as he knew I loved diamonds and Ruby's, perhaps because my grandma wears a ruby ring that was my great nannies. I wore it as my "something old" on our wedding day and would wear it at all the weddings I go to, in the hope that it brings the couple happiness and love. I hoped one day maybe Elodie would wear it. It's devastating to think that someone has sold it for a fraction of its worth.

It was such terrible luck that these items were in the car as they are never left there, but I guess what with a knew baby and house move it was a mistake that I have had to pay the price for.
