Pedestrian assaulted by two men on A357 near Henstridge
Police are searching for two men who got out of a car and assaulted a pedestrian as he walked along the A357 from Templecombe to Henstridge.
A black Volkswagen Golf with bright green wheel trims pulled over and stopped behind the victim around 200 metres from Dyer's Garage, officers said.

Two men got out of the car and assaulted the victim before getting back into the car and driving off in the Templecombe direction.
Police said the incident happened at around 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon, and are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.

They have released descriptions of two men they want to speak to.
The first man is described as white, aged in his 30s, of a large build, and around 6ft tall. He had a bald head and had tattoos on both his head and arms. He was wearing a white vest and black tracksuit bottoms.
The second man is described as white, around 5ft 11in tall with bright ginger hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit.
