Andrea Moxham, matron for cancer services, said: “Hearing you have cancer is one of the most difficult things you can be told.
“That’s why we have to get our care at this time absolutely right, and that the emotional support to the patient and their family matches the high standards we set for our clinical care.
“It is particularly gratifying to see that our patients have said that we work to promote dignity and respect, and that more than nine out of 10 would describe their care as excellent or very good.
“Whilst it is another positive report, and an important one, we are not complacent and continue to work hard to ensure the care all our patients receive is of the very highest standard.”
