North Dorset Council praised for helping youngsters find work
North Dorset District Council has been rewarded for helping young people find employment.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) presented the council with the Best Business Friendly Award for it's innovative WAVE project. The scheme combines work experience, apprentiships, volunteering and employment.
FSB regional chairman Ken Moon said: "This award says thank you to all the councillors and officers who rarely get recognised for the work they do.
"The FSB looks to the region's local authorities to help create the environment for small businesses and thrive."
