New recruits needed for Shaftesbury fire station
SHAFTESBURY firefighters are looking for new recruits for the on-call crew.
Informal recruitment events are being held at Tesco in Shaftesbury on Tuesday, 15th January and on Saturday, 19th January from 11am to 2pm so that people can find out more.

Shaftesbury Fire Station
The fire station is crewed 24 hours a day all year by on-call people who live and work nearby. It covers Guys Marsh Prison, Compton Abbas Airfield and all schools and properties in a five-mile radius.
Paul Vining, Station Commander at Shaftesbury, said: "This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in joining the retained fire service to come along and have an informal chat.
