New coffee bar for young people in Shaftesbury
AN advice centre for young people in Shaftesbury opened the doors to its new coffee bar last week.
The team at Toby's Project has spent the last three months planning and decorating the youth cafe after surveys conducted as part of the Town Team funding bid revealed demand for a place for young people to meet and socialise.

The coffee shop at the top of the High Street will open weekdays from 11am to 6.30pm, serving coffees, milkshakes and smoothies at affordable prices.
The cafe has been set up with funding support from Shaftesbury Town Council. Toby's staff and supporters were joined by Mayor Simon Pritchard for the official launch on Friday.

Toby's project manager Rosie Dawson said: "It has already been very well received.
"The general response from young people is that it feels like their living room, which is how we wanted it to feel. They have done a wonderful job with it."
Speaking after the launch celebration, assistant supervisor Rob Axe added: "It went really well and feedback has been great. People are using it and we already have a few regulars."
Toby's Project was set up 14 years ago as a place where young people aged between 13 and 25 can socialise and receive help and information on education, employment, housing, sexual health and drink and drug abuse. The centre is used by around 300 people each year.
