New Dorset Council director ‘passionate about making a difference’
DORSET County Council has announced a new director for adult and community services.
Catherine Driscoll, 50, currently head of adult social care at Worcestershire County Council, has also worked for health authorities and for Age Concern and Relate.

In her current role since 2009, she has been responsible for around 1,600 staff and a revenue budget of £117m. Her work has included implementing the transformation of adult social care, establishing joint commissioning arrangements with the NHS, and developing integrated community services to provide care close to home.
Mrs Driscoll said: “I am passionate about public service delivering a positive difference to people’s quality of life.”
