'New' Colehill library to be launched
TUESDAY 8th January will be an important day in the Colehill calendar as on that date the library will pass into the hands of the local community.
It will be run by a company known as Colehill Community Library Ltd. Many volunteers have now been trained and that is ongoing.
Councillor David Mitchell, the chairman of the parish council said: "The support of residents has been exceptional and we expect to have all the elements in place by the date of transfer. We also have plans to develop the services that the library provides over the coming months."
A formal opening of the Colehill Community Library attended by Annette Brooke MP, county, district and parish councillors has been set for 9th February, National Library Day. Residents are invited to attend there will be a chance to join the Friends of Colehill Library.
