Misery for train passengers in Dorset

Railway passengers in Dorset face 50-minute delays this weekend because of engineering work between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction.

South West Trains services from London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids are affected, including stops at Tisbury, Gillingham, Templecombe, and Sherborne.

The following changes will apply:

Tonight's 21.20 Waterloo to Yeovil Junction service is replaced by a bus from Salisbury.

The 21.26 and 22.57 Exeter St Davids to Salisbury will arrive later than scheduled.

Tomorrow, trains between Waterloo and Exeter are diverted between Salisbury and Yeovil Junction and will not call at Tisbury, Gillingham, Templecombe and Sherborne.

A bus service will replace trains for these stations.

The 08.54 Gillingham to Waterloo is replaced by a bus between Gillingham and Salisbury, as is the 08.58 Honiton to Waterloo from Honiton to Salisbury and the 11.15 Waterloo to Exeter St Davids between Salisbury and Gillingham.

Two additional trains are being provided, the 11.27 Salisbury to London Waterloo and 13.34 Yeovil Junction to Exeter St Davids.
