Merley concert funds leukaemia charity
LEAF (Leukaemia Educating and Fundraising) benefited from a fundraising concert held at Merley House recently. The evening was organised and performed by local florist Sharon Love who sang a mix of classical and contemporary songs. Sharon said: "This is my third year doing this charity concert and every year I enjoy it more and more. I hope to continue to support Leaf and would like to help other charities if I am able to. I love singing and the dream is to one day do an open air concert and if I can help raise money for charity along the way by doing what I love, how great is that." Natasha Jones from Leaf said: "It is only through the support of local people that the work of Leaf can be done. Sharon has supported Leaf for the last three years and her concert is something that I look forward to in our event calendar. The amount raised is always such a fantastic help and is very much appreciated."
Leaf will also benefit from a craft sale and coffee morning at Pamphill Village Hall from 10-30-1.30pm on Saturday 9th November.
