Man charged after alleged sexual assault in Bournemouth

A man has been charged after a Bournemouth woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in Charminster.

The alleged attack took place against a 26-year-old woman in a vehicle at around 3:20am on Sunday January 27.

Detective Constable Ross Graham of Bournemouth CID said: "I am appealing for witnesses to assist with this investigation.

"We are very keen to speak with any anyone who may have seen a red Nissan Micra car in the area of Winton recreation ground on Fitzharris Avenue or behind the job centre on Cotlands Road in Lansdowne."

A 47-year-old man of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with sexual assault. He is due to appear before Bournemouth Crown Court next month.
