The Cherries got off to a dream start when Grabban latched onto a poor back pass by Jon Otsemobor and fired the Dorset side ahead.

MK Dons'task became even harder when Lowe was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Elphick, which injured the Cherries defender.

Pugh doubled Bournemouth's lead just before the break as he struck on the rebound after Grabban's initial shot.

The home side tried to restore some pride in the second half, with Shaun Williams' effort coming back off the post.

However, the Cherries sealed all three points when Arter's long-range drive found the net to secure Bournemouth's third straight win and send them third in the league table.
