Lily-Mae Jeffries inquest: Road death was accidental

The death of a five-year-old girl, who had crossed the road on her way to feed the ducks, was an accident, an inquest heard.

Lily-Mae Jeffries, from Taunton, Somerset, died after she was hit by two motorbikes in Weymouth, Dorset.

The hearing at Dorchester County Hall was told that Lily-Mae, along with her grandmother and two sisters were crossing the A354 near the Swannery Bridge when the accident happened on March 11.

Lily-Mae was airlifted to hospital but later died from her injuries.
