Lifeboat and helicopter search Swanage for vulnerable man
A lifeboat and helicopter were called to scour the Swanage area to find a missing man who was threatening to harm himself.
Portland Coastguard requested the launch of Swanage's lifeboat to help the police helicopter in the search just before midnight last night.
The man was spotted making his way along the north section of Swanage Beach, past Sheps Hollow and the lifeboat crew persuaded him to climb aboard.
He was then airlifted to hospital for a check over.
