Julia's House family on the run
A FAMILY from Corfe Mullen that use the services of Julia's House children's hospice has put together a team to tackle The Hospice 5k on 21st October in aid of three local hospices.
Team Sam is 21-month-old Samuel Monk, his dad Chris and mum Zoë and Kate Boe who is mum to Zack, one of Samuel's best friends. Samuel, who has a rare genetic condition that has affected the development of his brain, has respite sessions both at home and at the charity's hospice in Corfe Mullen.

'It's hard to put into words just what Julia's House means to us. It's not just the respite they provide, the wonderful play sessions Samuel has with the Playmaker, all the cuddles he gets from the nurses and carers that makes them so wonderful, but the amazing support we are given from everyone is just beyond words," says Zoë.
Julia's House is asking supporters inspired by the nation's sporty summer to make an Olympic effort by walking, jogging or running the Hospice 5k, 10K of Kids' K. Team Sam will be covering the distance by running and walking.

Registration is now open and there is something for everyone: fitness fans can sign up for the challenging 10K, fun runners will love the scaled down, but still testing 5k and younger children have their very own Kids' K.
