Joe receives Olympic legacy award
JOE Trussell, who is the National Junior Jitsu Champion, has been chosen by West Moors Parish Council to receive its Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games Legacy Award.
Joe who trains at the Ferndown Jitsu Club in the Heatherlands Community Centre is due to take part in the Jitsu International Championships in Edinburgh this year.

In 2012, the parish council decided to give an award up to £1,000 to an aspiring sports star aged between 11 and 17 who was a resident of West Moors.
A spokesman for the council said: "All the applicants attended an interview during December and the quality was extremely high making it very difficult to make a decision."
