International success for Cerne valley rider Jodie Loveday
THOMAS Hardye School student Jodie Loveday, who lives in Cerne valley, has enjoyed great success this year, taking her horse Zamor to France and competing with the Great Britain Under 18 eventing team.
Jodie, a member of Cattistock Pony Club, got Zamor, as a five year old and recognised something special in him. After much trial and effort, Zamor and Jodie's potential was seen by the Under-18 selector and the duo were invited to represent Great Britain in France in the summer. They came away with double clear, a huge achievement. Jodie regularly represents the South West region and recently she and the South West Team came fifth at the Under 18 Championship in Shropshire.

Jodie is determined to go further and higher representing the South West and Team GB. She said: "I have never been so proud in my life and I can stand back and say I did that! I would like to say thank you to all my sponsors, Duke's auctioneers in Dorchester, Cerne Valley Young People Trust and the Thomas Hardye School for making this year possible, and most of all to my mum for being patient and driving long hours across Great Britain and Europe to help me start in this career."
