Fishing Notes
Sutton Bingham reservoir has been fishing well, with trout up in the water and hunting for food. Although there were very few insect hatches, fishermen caught on Buzzers and Pheasant Tail Nymphs. All banks have produced fish but most came from the North bank because of the wind direction. The best bag of the week went to Mr G Winters, who bagged 19lb 3oz of fish, including a hard-fighting, over-wintered rainbow of 7lb 9oz. Total fish caught for week: 701. Rod average: three.
Last week's bright days and cold nights pushed the fish deep again at Flowers Farm Trout Lakes, and most fish were caught on intermediate or sinking lines. Paul Goddard from Somerton landed a good 4lb 12oz Rainbow on a Goldhead Nymph. Other fish to over 3lb were caught on Appetiser, Hare's Ear, Fritz, and weighted buzzers. The fishery will be closed all day for a group booking on Wednesday 29th April.
