Festival opens new chapter for town

SHERBORNE is preparing to celebrate its first literary festival next month.

Sherborne Literary Society has organised the event, taking place over three days, to include talks from acclaimed best-selling authors.

Names such as John Suchet, Robin Page, Kate Adie, Simon Brett and Carole Matthews will take part in 18 main events throughout the festival.

Society chairman Judith Spelman (pictured) said: "We believe there is something for everyone to enjoy."
