Yeovil Farmers Market celebrates the season's vegetables

THE monthly Yeovil Farmers Market takes place tomorrow, Saturday 23rd June, from 9am-1pm, in the upper section of Middle Street.

This month's market will be back to full strength with the welcome return of an organic vegetable stall. Louise Hall of Somerset Farmers Markets says: "We are thrilled to announce that Farringtons Organic Vegetables will be launching at the market with their fabulous home grown range."

Also new this month will be Frome-based Yumble, whose crumbles have been filling the bellies of Frome residents for the last year and are now to extend their crumble crusade to Yeovil!

Located in one of the busiest areas of Yeovil, the market has adapted to the needs of hungry shoppers and Home Farm from Somerton does a roaring trade with hot food on the day including home-produced beef burgers.

Other producers range from traditional family farms and bakers to a micro-brewery, artisan cheese makers and local favourites West Country Water Buffalo who have been bowled over by the support they have received at Yeovil, their most local market.

At this time of year there are additional seasonal stalls and herbs, and vegetable and ornamental plants.

If you haven't visited the market before it's well worth a visit.
