Extensive damage caused after 'callous' break-in on Portland building site
Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to buildings on a construction site in Portland.
A number of properties were broken into by burglars on Castle Road on Thursday October 18 at around 7.30pm.

Burglars hit a building site in Portland
Offenders caused extensive damage to the outside of premises they entered on the building site. It is not yet known what the offenders stole from the site, but the damaged caused is estimated to cost thousands of pounds to repair.
Police Constable Richard White of Weymouth Police said: "I am appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident take place, or may have information regarding those involved to contact police as soon as possible.

"This callous crime has causes an untold amount of disruption to the building firm work on the site.
"They have not only had to foot the bill to repair the damage, but have also had to pay for security to guard the site until March."
