Ex England rugby star, David Duckham comes to Christchurch
DAVID Duckham, former British Lions and Barbarians player and John Inverdale, BBC sports presenter, will be celebrity guest speakers at a rugby lunch in Christchurch, being hosted by Diverse Abilities Plus, Dorset’s disability charity.
The event takes place on Friday 6th September at Hoburne Holiday Park.
David played 36 games for England from 1969 to 1976 and John has been a BBC star, on both TV and radio, for over 20 years. His television broadcasting career has seen him become one of the UK’s most famous faces since hosting the Six Nations Rugby Championships.
As well as the entertaining speeches, attendees will enjoy a sumptuous three-course lunch and will have the opportunity to take part in a charity auction and raffle. Prizes have been kindly donated by the guest rugby stars and a selection of local businesses.

Sharon Wells, events fundraiser for Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “The past two year’s events have been a great success and we are very much looking forward to this year’s lunch, which has nearly sold out. We are really excited about welcoming our celebrity guest speakers, and are confident that it will be another fantastic and entertaining occasion for all those attending.
“The charity is most grateful for the kindness and great support of our generous sponsors; local company. E.
