European lifeboat crew enjoy week in Dorset in RNLI exchange programme
Lifeboat crew from across Europe have visited Poole as part of a unique exchange programme with the RNLI.
Seven crew members from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Iceland spent a week in Dorset - working alongside RNLI crew.

Peter Dawes, RNLI Head of Lifeguard Operations said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for crews to exchange information at an operational level.
"We hope that the success of this inaugural programme will mean it is run in future years."

The exchange programme was organised by the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF). Similar programmes are planned across Europe.
The visitors took part in lifeboat, hovercraft and lifeguard exercises and visited the HM Coastguard helicopter.
