Elderly woman rescued from Bournemouth flat
An elderly woman and a pet cat had to be rescued after a fire started in a block of flats in Bournemouth.
A total of 15 firefighters tackled the blaze which started in the lounge of the flat in Princess Road, Branksome at around 1.40pm yesterday.The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.
Dorset fire crews are warning people to get free smoke alarms fitted by calling them on 01305 252600.
