Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell is unlikely to pursue a manager employed by another club as he looks for a successor to Paul Groves.

The Cherries have been linked with a move for MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, and an attempt to lure former manager Eddie Howe, currently in charge at Championship club Burnley, back to the south coast.

Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson was also rumoured to be in the Cherries’ thoughts.

Mitchell said: “There are lots of people out there who are looking at the job and have shown a desire to come and work at Bournemouth, but it has to suit our budget and it has to suit our expectations of where we want to go.
