Eddie Howe still fears AFC Bournemouth sack despite successful 12 months
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is still fearful of losing his job despite a fantastic 12 months in charge of the Cherries.
Howe guided Bournemouth to promotion to the SkyBet Championship last season, and the Cherries have made a promising start to their campaign in the second tier of English football.
However, the 35-year-old has stated a fear of failure gives him the motivation to succeed.
“I think you always fear the sack” explained Howe. “From the day I took the job to the day we stayed up against Grimsby – those worries have never gone.

“I might not be in this job next year and I’ve got to constantly prove that I deserve to stay in the job, to build a team and take the club forward.
“It doesn’t matter how successful you are, how many games you have won or how many promotions you have got – it’s history and it doesn’t mean anything.
“What is really important is the future and the next two or three games and whether we are going to establish ourselves in the Championship in the long term.”
The Cherries are currently in eighth place in the league table – having picked up five wins so far this season.
After the international break, Bournemouth have a tough few games when they face high-flying Leicester City and Nottingham Forest in their next two games.
