Eat Dorset food event in Beaminster this weekend
Smoking barrels, Dorset sushi and deer demos will be centre stage at the Eat Dorset food festival at Parnham House just outside Beaminster this weekend.
Eat Dorset which has been shortlisted by Country Life magazine for 'Country Event of the Year' and The Independent as 'One of the Best Food Fairs of the Year' – strives to do something different each time.
Event spoeksman, Annette Smallwood said: "This year the focus is on making the food you buy as outstanding as possible, arming visitors with the best methods for preparing, curing and cooking food.
"As well as locally-sourced produce from more than 60 suppliers, there will be lots of unusual things to see and try: spatchocked pig on an open fire, lamb buried in the ground and cooked 'Hangi' style, Dorset sushi and slow-cooked roasts are among the main attractions."
