East Dorset District Council agrees to council tax rise

IN a first for East Dorset District Council, residents  were able to follow Monday evening's full council meeting live on the internet.

In addition to agreeing to submit the Core Strategy to the Secretary of State  the authority set the budget for 2013/14, to include an increase to its share of the Council Tax.

The budget approved by Members will see a 1.95 per cent rise in the district council's share of the Council Tax.
