A seafront cafe run by one of Dorset’s foremost chefs has shut temporarily, just months after a £1.1 million refurbishment.

The Chesil Beach Cafe at Portland is run by Beaminster’s MasterChef champion Mat Follas and Dorset Wildlife Trust on behalf of a partnership including Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, the Jurassic Coast Team and the Chesil Bank and the Fleet Nature Reserve.
