Dorset women to have the chance to drive a brand new bus
A brand new British built ADL Enviro 400 double deck bus, one of eight new vehicles introduced by morebus on the popular X3 Bournemouth to Salisbury bus service, will be made available for participants of the Dorset Ladies Driving Challenge at Bovington Army Camp on 22 September and raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Worth £190,000, the environmentally friendly low emissions bus will be available throughout the event to drive under the supervision of one the company’s driving instructors Ivan Tomkins
Adam Keen, operations manager for Wilts & Dorset’s morebus network, said that the fundraising drivers will be surprised as to how easy the new Enviro 400 is to drive.
“Fortunately the technology now incorporated in new buses reduces a lot of the physical work of driving which is good news for bus drivers who need to concentrate on the challenges of navigating through heavily congested roads and have energy to focus on good customer service.”
