Several of Dorset's main roads are still impassable this afternoon due to flooding caused by Saturday's torrential rain.

The heavy downpours started on Friday evening and, in the space of 24 hours, the county was hit with a month's worth of rain.

Road closures are also in place on the A3066 in Beaminster. A landslip has shut the road in both directions between the B3163 Clay Lane junction and the B3164 junction.

The A37 at Charminster is open, but drivers are being warned to expect delays due to flooding and temporary traffic lights between the A352 junction and the A356 Dorchester Road junction.

Flood delays are also being reported on the B3075 South Causeway in Wareham, which is blocked in both directions between the Pound Lane and Nutcrack Lane junctions.

The B3159 is also closed in both directions at Winterbourne Steepleton, between the Coombe Road and St Martins Field junctions.

Train travel has also faced major disruptions today, with First Great Western confirming that its Yeovil Pen Mill to Weymouth services will not run today due to flooding on the railway line at Yetminster.
