Dorset residents pulled free from flood water near Lower Stour

Fire fighters have rescued people from their vehicles this morning as flooding continues around the Lower Sour.

At around 7am, crews from Wimborne and Poole pulled a vehicle and its occupier clear from 12 inches of water at White Mill Bridge, Shapwick.

Crews from Blandford and Poole were later required to help a car from six inches of water at Crawford Bridge near Spetisbury.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were then called back to Shapwick by police - to assist three people trapped in their car.
