Dorset hit by unexpected heavy snow

From Dorchester to Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire sections of the region had an unusually late covering of the white stuff.
It caused some localised traffic problems with the A37 in Dorset closed for a period yesterday morning.
The West has endured a bizarre few weeks of weather, with last Tuesday’s first day of the Cheltenham Festival being one of the coldest on record, with overnight temperatures dropping to -12C.
