Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner to give advice to Victim Support

Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill has been chosen to share his thoughts at a Victim Support conference in London.

Mr Underhill, along with Wiltshire PCC Angus Macpherson will speak at a Board of Trustees meeting at Canary Wharf tomorrow - Thursday January 31.

Mr Underhill will talk about his priorities and plans for victim support in Dorset, and what he wants to see from Victim Support and partner organisations to ensure victims get the help they need.

A Victim Support spokesperson said: "We chose Martyn Underhill as he is one of the leading independent PCCs and someone who has publicly committed to putting victims first.

"We want to understand better how Martyn intends to bring these commitments to life and how Victim Support and its partners in the sector can work with him to do so."

Victim Support offers free help to victims if crimes, including burglary, assaults, sex offences and domestic violence.
