Dorset MP welcomes Government funding to local housing policy
A Dorset MP has welcomed Government plans to fund over £2 million to councils through the New Homes Bonus.
Bob Walter, MP for North Dorset praised the Government for providing Dorset County Council, North Dorset District Council and East Dorset District Council a total of £2.3 million.

The funding rewards local authorities which promote economic growth and development, matching the extra revenue councils receive from new homes.
Mr Walter said: "It is great news that local authorities in my constituency will receive over £2.3 million of funding through the New Homes Bonus, which can be spent on improving local infrastructure, delivering additional homes or on anything that will benefit the local community."
