Dorset Floods: Environment Agency issues flood warning on four Dorset rivers

The Environment Agency has issued flood warning on four rivers in Dorset.

The River Wey - from Upwey to Weymouth, The River Char at Dolphins Caravan Park, The Lower Stour from Sturminster Marshall to Christchurch and The Lower Frome from East Stoke to Wareham are likely to flood.

Heavy rain across Dorset has caused problems on roads - with downpours likely to last through the night.

The A37 near Grimstone is just passable due to flooding - at the A356 Dorchester Road junction.

In East Knighton, flooding is also causing problems - with the A352 blocked in both directions near the East Knighton Lane junction.

Earlier, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were called to Hammoon near Sturminster Newton - when a woman become trapped in her car in flood water.
