Dinner dance to help the Western Gazette celebrate 275th anniversary
This year the Western Gazette celebrates 275 years of newspaper publishing and we are inviting readers to celebrate with us.
The newspaper is holding a birthday dinner dance at Westland Leisure Complex in Yeovil on Friday, November 16.

Former employees, local businesses and loyal readers are invited to join the party.
The evening will take a step back in time with historic displays of the newspaper’s heritage from its origin to the present day. A three-course dinner will be inspired by classic dishes from the centuries.

Head of advertising at the Western Gazette Linn Hughes said: “This is a significant milestone in not only the Western Gazette’s history but that of our community.

Steve Carpenter will host a charity auction in aid of the Western Gazette’s two adopted causes, the Flying Colours Appeal for Yeovil Women’s Hospital and St Margaret’s Hospice.
Westland Leisure Complex, the Quedam Shopping Centre and Perspicuity are among the businesses supporting the event.
Tickets are priced at £50 per person with a table of ten costing £450.
