Dean Goodwin finally arrested as armed officers pounce in Poole
Dean Goodwin was arrested last night as armed police swooped on a busy Poole street.
The 32-year-old, who is wanted in relation to a sexual assault in Poole - was caught by Dorset Police outside the Sainsbury's Local store on Bournemouth Road, Parkstone.
Witnesses saw a number of police cars stop outside the store, blocking the road to traffic. Goodwin was led away by officers at around 6pm yesterday.
Armed police were waiting for Goodwin at a Shell garage across the road, with eye-witnesses claiming the officers apprehended Goodwin before he could get into a car.

Darren Jones, who works along Bournemouth Road said: "It was terrifying to think it all happened so close by.
"The police were restraining him for ages. He tried to drive off in a car - but they stuck him in a straight jacket.
"Some people said they even stuck a bag over his head."
Police had been hunting Goodwin since Friday, and the 32-year-old spent last night being questioned at Bournemouth Police Station.
Detective Superintendent Mark Cooper said: "I'd like to thank the public and media for their help and support through this intensive police operation.
"Our officers and staff have worked tirelessly and I'm pleased we have been able to bring this to a safe conclusion with the arrest tonight of Dean Goodwin."
