Curry lunch raises more than £3,000 for St Margaret's Hospice
A CURRY lunch and auction of promises at The Longhouse at Mill on the Brue on Sunday raised more than £3,000 for St Margaret's Hospice.
About 100 supporters, many with personal experience of the care and wonderful atmosphere at the Yeovil hospice, enjoyed the lunch prepared by Mill on the Brue staff, with ingredients that were all given by local producers and retailers.

In the spring, Tricia Rawlingson-Plant, one of the founders of the Bruton activity centre, is going on a trek to the Himalayas in India to raise funds for the hospice, where her husband Tony died in 2009.
She is paying for the trek herself, and all the money raised on Sunday will go to the hospice.
