Corfe Mullen Parish Council opposes TIC closure
NEIGHBOURING Corfe Mullen Parish Council has expressed its dismay at the proposed closure of the Tourism Office in Wimborne. In a letter to the chief executive of Christchurch and East Dorset Councils, the council states that the closure of the facility would result in the loss of a valuable asset to the area which relies heavily on the tourism trade. Concern was also expressed over the resulting loss of experienced staff and their expertise.
Councillor Paul Holland, chairman of the Parish Council said: “We urge the District Council to carefully consider any closure plans as this would have a negative impact on the wider community as well as the personnel involved.”
