Conference to combat domestic abuse in Dorchester
A FREE drop-in No Excuse for Abuse conference is being held in Dorchester on Friday to raise awareness about domestic violence and to strengthen links between support services for victims.
The event is being held at the new West Dorset District Council offices, South Walks House, in South Walks Road from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

The No Excuse for Abuse conference is being held at West Dorset District Council's new offices
The conference is aimed at people working to combat domestic violence and abusive relationships. Members of the public who would like to learn more about the issue are also welcome.
It is being organised by the West Dorset and Weymouth Domestic Violence and Abuse Forum. A wide range of organisations will be sharing information and good practice about addressing domestic violence and exploring the services that are available to support victims.

The conference wiill give advice on where to go for help, how to help staff and colleagues and will be applicable to men and women of any age.
Speakers will include representatives from West Dorset Women's Refuge, the Crown Prosecution Service and Pengilly's solicitors.
