Christchurch Hospital plans approved
REVISED plans for Christchurch Hospital have been approved by the Borough’s planning committee.
Richard Renaut, the hospital’s director of service development, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the level of community support we have received for the plans and would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you.

“The public, our patients and staff have all taken the time and got behind our proposals which will now see current services secured and new services developed, ensuring that Christchurch Hospital continues to be a focal point for the community.”
The new scheme will secure NHS services at the site as well as provide a range of other community services, including a GP surgery and assisted living accommodation. The original application was turned down by Christchurch Borough Council’s Planning Committee in January.
