Cars and ponies stuck in floodwater in Dorset
Fire crews in Dorset have been called out after cars and two ponies got stuck in water due to rain flooding roads yesterday.
At 5.20pm crews went to West Stafford bypass near Dorchester after reports of a car stuck in three feet of water. Crews helped lead the occupant and a member of the public to safety.

A few hours before, at 2pm, cars were getting stuck in water on the A352 at East Knighton. Crews attended but drivers had managed to get to safety when they arrived.
At 9.50am yesterday two ponies got stuck in a river at Pymore near Bridport. Crews asissted the owner and ropes and food were used to get the horses back on dry land.
