Care home residents join staff for sponsored memory walk
STAFF and residents at a Longham care home strode out for charity when they took part in a six-mile sponsored memory walk.
Karen Grant-A'Court and Ann-Marie Knight, both activity organisers at Colten Care's Fernhill home led the walkers around Poole Park's cricket pitch.
Five residents, including two in wheelchairs, took it in turns to complete the 18 laps covering a total distance of six miles.
Generous onlookers donated £43 with the walk expected to raise about £200 when all the sponsorship pledges have been collected.

"Poole Park proved the perfect venue for the walk and I think it's fair to say it was a big success."
