Businesses can cut energy costs
SMALL and medium sized businesses in the New Forest area are being helped to cut their energy costs.
The council backed Switch Hampshire scheme enables businesses to find and switch to cheaper energy tariffs.
Registration is free and quick and easy via hants.gov.uk/switch
Once a business has registered online, an energy expert from the scheme will contact them and ask for some basic information, before searching for a better tariff.

If they choose to accept the new tariff, Switch Hampshire will help the business through the switching process and also provide post contract management to ensure everything goes smoothly. Businesses are under no obligation to switch and registration is open until 25th November.
National figures suggest only 16 to 22 per cent of small or medium businesses switch supplier regularly, as comparing tariffs is difficult and the procedures needed to switch can be complex and time-consuming.
There are over 7500 small and medium size businesses in the New Forest and Switch Hampshire aims to save them time and money by assisting them with the process of searching for a better deal.
New Forest District Council is working with Hampshire County Council to encourage local businesses to register. Leader of New Forest District Council, Councillor Barry Rickman, said: “The scheme offers local businesses the convenience and benefits of switching to a better energy tariff, which will help save them money during these difficult economic times.”
