At around 4:45pm yesterday, Dorset Police were called to a crash between Bridport and Chiddock, west of Miles Cross.
A 17-year-old Bridport man collided with a Mercedes lorry being driven by a Southampton man, and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
He was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester and later transferred to Southampton General Hospital's neurological department, where he remains in a critical condition.
